Anti-fatigue awakeners and some favourite fragrance relaunches are the crux of Vogue beauty and lifestyle director, Jessica Diner’s, edit of products this week.
Nars Skin Deep Eye Palette
Could this be the perfect palette? The dream combination of nude shades in both matt and metallic make this one of those products that lands on my desk and makes me melt. To be used on the face as well as the eyes, it works for both day and night and it is my new make-up essential.
£56; available at Nars.
Byredo Unnamed Limited Reedition
What’s not to love about some bespoke Byredo? A re-issue of the limited-edition 2016 launch of “the perfume with no name”, the idea is that you can take the letter transfers provided in the box and label the fragrance however you so wish. A woody violet floral scent lies inside to give double the pleasure.
£160; available from January 31 2019 at Byredo.
This Works Scent Well Diffuser
This is an ingenious compact travel diffuser ideal for use when on the go. Powered by a USB charger, it heats up any essential oil to softly diffuse its smell. In tandem, This Works has launched Morning Expert Wake-Up Drops (which comes as part of a whole Morning Expert range) with an anti-fatigue blend of peppermint, lavender and rosemary, making this the ultimate jet lag combatter.
£55; available at This Works.
Dr Dennis Gross C + Collagen Deep Cream
Those key words “vitamin C” and “collagen” immediately caught my attention when I first started to use this cream, but the allure goes beyond a good name. The powerful formula from one of the US’s leading derms plumps, brightens and hydrates. So much so that I keep going back to it – and recommend it to all my friends.
£70; available at Space NK.
L’Oréal Paris Smooth Sugars Coffee Wake-Up Scrub
There seems to be a bit of an anti-fatigue theme emerging this week, this one being the latest addition to L’Oréal Paris’s popular Smooth Sugars collection. It has the benefit of coffee grains that act as gentle exfoliating particles to smooth out and wake up skin, and also contains both coconut and sweet almond oil to nourish skin and give it a sweet, tiramisu-esque smell. Which is greatly pleasing to me.
£10; available at Boots.
YSL Beauty Rouge Volupte Shine Heart & Arrow Collector
A limited-edition collector’s item, you don’t have to be in the mood for Valentine’s to want this divine lipstick stamped with hearts and arrows. Encasing four of YSL’s most popular shades of Rouge Volupte Shine (a sheer, high-shine lipstick), they are enough to make you fall head over heels.
£29; available at YSL.
Flower Beauty Light Illusion Liquid Foundation
Flower Beauty is the brainchild of Drew Barrymore. Previously only available in the US it’s an affordable line of beauty products which has now launched in the UK. With its impressive textures and pigments, my standout product is the foundation. Matt but still luminous, it is the perfect hybrid between a tinted moisturiser and a CC cream.
£13; available at Superdrug.
Le Labo Basil & Sea Buckthorn Hand Soap
I have been a big fan of the existing in-shower body wash version of this product from Le Labo and now they have brought it out into a hand wash and hand lotion, such has been the demand. I, for one, am thrilled, because it means I get more opportunities to smell the heavenly fresh green scent throughout the day.
£17; available at Le Labo.
